Add cycle touring to your activity list
We look for sites that accept a small group of cyclists (max 5) each with their own tiny tent that generally fit on two pitches. And often stay just one night.
We know there are sites that welcome cyclists and backpackers - even give us a reduction, but I can’t see any reference to that on Pitchup, just lots of sites that say in their description that they would refuse our set up (we are all females) I’ve tried the motorbike tour search, but again lots of expensive sites that wouldn’t accept single sex groups.
There are so many lovely sites here I just wish I could find some that work.

I agree with Ben Searle. It is hard to predict distances travelled each day as journey's can be weather dependent, road closures can add unexpected miles. It would be great to be able to turn up and camp . Very little space needed, no car to park and small unobtrusive tents.

Given how little space cyclists need, it would be good for campsites to offer some 'just turn up' spaces rather than need to book ahead.

Cycle tourists take little space - and cycle tourism is a growing way of tourism which injects money into local economies. It would be a positive addition to PitchUp to provide this filter.

Always looking for sites which allow a cyclist (or a small group of cyclists) arriving with a small tent each (no car) to camp for one night at a reduced rate.
