Group Bookings on Pitchup - Minimum Guests/ Units
The Portal doesn’t currently allow sites to set group-only bookings or a minimum guest/unit requirement by date. This is a problem for sites with multiple units/ pitches that take individual bookings midweek but only accept group bookings at weekends. (vice versa).
As a result, these sites either can’t join Pitchup, have to block out dates, or manage group bookings manually off-platform, all of which reduces bookable inventory and revenue.
Benefits:
- Win more sites: Removes a common blocker for multi-unit glamping and lodge operators.
- Increase revenue: Unlocks high-value weekend and peak-date group bookings.
- Reduce friction: Cuts down on manual workarounds.
This affects a growing number of professional glamping operators with multiple/ similar units.
It impacts all users and currently leads to:
- Blocked or restricted availability
- Lower booking values
- Sites choosing not to list on Pitchup
Adding date-based group booking rules (e.g. minimum guests or minimum units) would remove a clear barrier to onboarding and growth, unlock peak-weekend revenue, and better reflect how modern multi-unit sites actually operate.
