I think will be easier for site managers to send us their testimonials on Pitchup.com site or even better through their extranet- by completing a form (very simple) on their extranet- or a link to a landing page with a form to complete. The point of this to have like an “action call” bottom to encourage them to send their testimonial and to make it easy and fast…

  2. Great site BTW. I booked 3 nights stay on a site on the Isle of Wight. This was £63.. After I booked .. I went to the ferry booking site.. £124 for the return sailing. I didn't think that a ferry trip across a couple of miles of water could be so expensive. I must admit that if I had done the ferry site first I wouldn't have booked a campsite on I.O.W.
    Can I suggest that you put a advisory pop up Or at least an advisory note to check ferry prices and availability before booking a camp site…

  3. an amendment button where customers can simply put in their original booking ID, select extras and then make an additional payment - you are losing out on extra commission by not doing this and the customer satisfaction rate will go even higher!

    Thank you for this suggestion. Adding extras is a fairly rare requirement on the whole but we are working on a solution to amend all aspects of the booking, which is unfortunately not a trivial change.

  4. Unable to pay by debit card. Card declined is a rather useless user feedback. Tried multiple times but with this response it is just a game of hit and miss.
    I am using my card almost every day for online payments.

  7. A link on your account that allows you to chip away at the full price of the holiday in advance without being asked for money on a set date. Ie pay off £20 her or £40 there a week or fortnight

  8. When setting up the Pitch Type, it would be better to completely remove 'Priced per person' from the Pricing Method. This would force campsites to put in a pitch price where we could ask them to include the car and two adults minimum. As it stands, having it priced per person offers them an easy way out as there is no flat pitch rate which would cover extras and persons we would like included (e.g. 2 adults and 1 car, although there may also be other extras potentially).

    It might also be worth having one car and two adults included…

  9. It would be great to have the % of days' allocation covering the opening period of the campsite automatically calculated and showing somewhere on the portal.

    With this, we would be able to set a threshold which needs to be met for the section to be complete and activation requested, e.g. minimum 80% of days covered by allocation to set live.

    There will always be exceptions for a variety of reasons but having a threshold would make it a bit more consistent and manageable for us as well as the campsite owners.

    Having this allocation coverage % would help make…

  11. There is a site behind where I live in breach of all planning permission where users go and have no idea! The users I have met are quite appalled that they had no idea. They would have liked to know before booking!

    Thank you for your message. Campsites do not necessarily need planning permission to operate however we react to any concerns raised. Without knowing which campsite you are referring to, it is difficult for us to implement your suggestion :-)

  12. How about having somewhere where we can enter information that folk will receive on their booking form and therefore stand some chance of them reading it before arrival?

    I mean things like: “Please don’t bring your own wood as our young son provides this at a reasonable charge” or “we’ll charge your phone and no cost whilst you’re here”

  14. If I type in New Forest or Peak District it doesn't recognise the location. Search should be enabled by popular search entries not limited to counties. Even if there is a way it is not straightforward/user friendly and the best way is through the standard search bar

  16. I would like to embed my booking calendar in my website, does pitch up allow iframing or html pasting of the code so we can just stick to the one booking system as your works perfectly and our campsite is currently using you.

  17. Use drop down boxes to select dates as current way to input is really annoying!! The dates jump off when you try and add more makes website irrutating

  18. Is there any way we can encourage customers to tell us their estimated

    Please could you add a compulsory time of arrival (ETA) because when we receive the booking from you I still have to ring them up or send an email to ask them their ETA. I know you have it on your system but customers do not seem to be filling it in. Can you help at all?
