  1. Improve filters

    Add lodge amenities filters that are missing from on site accomodation. It seems to be the only site that doesn't let you filter by private hot tub, only hot tubs on site in general is an available filter.

  3. Pitch Sizes and Options

    We have small campervan and a mini awning for storage. We have noticed that we are often required to pay the same as someone with a large caravan and a car or a much larger motor home. We don’t need drainage, just an EHU. Also often then asked to pay extra for our mini awning. Perhaps small campervans, not requiring drainage etc, could be classed separately to the much larger units.

  4. Metal detecting

    It would be good if sites, especially sites on farm land could offer a metal detecting area .

  5. Changing the term Play area in Features to Playground

    When contacting sites to ask for photos when they've ticked 'play area' in their Features section, some sites just send a photo of an empty field or area of the camping field where children are permitted to play. Usually we would interpret this box being ticked to mean that there is some kind of play structure, swings etc.

    I think changing the term in Features from Play area to Playground might help avoid confusion as it implies more of a created playground than just an area for playing. I'd say this comes up maybe 25% of the time. It would…

  6. Provide the ability to filter out sites that require you to be a member of a caravan club

    Too many caravan club sites are being advertised on pitchup and not all campers/caravaners are a member. It is incredibly frustrating having to scroll through loads of sites stating that you must be a member of the caravan club etc. An option to filter these out would be very helpful

  7. Make it possible to seach for multiple pitch types at the same time

    Before you changed the site design, it used to be possible to add both tent and campervan to the search, now I can only pick one or the other.

  8. Add Ebike charging as a feature

    Allow site owners to add ebike charging as a feature, would also be useful to have phone charging listed as a feature. For people cycle touring these can both be essential.

  10. Make Campfire searches more accurate

    I specifically searched for sites that allow campfires, and bought my ingredients based on cooking on a firepit, but when I got there the site did NOT allow campfires. I also nearly booked a site that is classed as allowing campfires then re-read the description and it said specified "no campfires or barbecues".

  11. Tell campsites there is no way I'd pay some of their prices, just for a one man hiking tent. I can book a bed and breakfast cheaper

    A price for hikers. We take up no room. And often only want a little water, to then move on.
    People do not like wild campers, we do that for free. Personally I'd rather use a campsite that's reasonably priced for a night's pitch.But not at some of these utterly ludicrous costs.
    Camping / hiking isn't supposed to cost a second mortgage

  12. add a "Comparison" feature to help users narrow down their options.

    Fantastic website - really useful, but I had to keep swapping from one listing to another to compare campsites, which got a bit confusing as I was looking at 13 favourites! It would be great to see several listings at once to compare key features & narrow down my choices.

  14. Make sure search facility works as it should for all filters

    I searched Motorhome, adults only, bring a gazebo with beach access. There were 3 results, the first one allows children… not impressive

  16. put in a tick box for eco / green holidays

    Many people want to have a holiday that doesn't cost the earth in carbon emissions, putting a search that enables that person to look for somewhere that is off grid, composting loos, close to nature etc will help that person.

    Offer ‘feedback’ on a very short form, and ‘review’ where people can expand on their experience.
