  2. Enable the ability for season open dates by pitch type. We have some pitch types that have a different season length to others. I.e a grass pitch will have a shorter season than a hardstanding.

  3. Many things about the site are seasonal and time dependant. Bluebell and snowdrop walks just one coming up. Winter camping snowy specials. Easter egg finds in the chicken layers boxes. Local events bring in customers. All things we mention on other sites that allow us freedom of marketing narrative.

  5. Two sites have enquired to the possibility of having boats on Pitchup as an “atypical” rental product.
    My suggestion is two-fold: 1. Enquire as to the feasibility of allowing rentable boats on Pitchup as a listing. 2. Modifying the portal Pitch type categories to allow for boats, not just moorings.

  6. Please could there be tick box options in the Terms and Conditions section with respect to flying of drones on site, e.g. permission required to fly drone, the flying of drones is not permitted etc. This has been triggered by a complaint regarding a breach of privacy.

  7. FAQ section on how to report a refusal of entry to a site to Pitchup would be appreciated. We’ve had an incident recently with a regular Pitchup customer that due to misbehaviour on arrival at the site, refusal of entry would have been preferred, but we are unaware of the Pitchup position on this. Although a rare and isolated matter, this type of situation does carry a risk of escalation, which it did in this case with further instances of misbehaviour for the duration of the stay.   8. Currently you can create a log in for just the bookings tab - however, staff can see the campsites total revenue at the top of the page - Not the kind of thing its appropriate for staff to see! Can this be taken off? It's ok for them to see individual booking cost of course, just not how much the campsite has made to date 🤣

  11. Our Pub has our campsite attached to it. During low season, our opening times for the bar & the kitchen will vary, depending on trade. Several times we have campers turning up only to find that the bar is open but the kitchen is closed - this is not great for our customers if they have come with no food. I would also say this can affect campsites with shops etc....

  12. I primarily use Pitchup for my bookings, so two things would be very important to me: payments via paypal and debit cards + the automatic emails regarding upcoming arrivals should also include manual bookings.

  13. Some sites give us the option of setting a fire-ban status. With summers like this we need to show that open fires are not permitted on sites surrounded by crops and long grass. Need to be able to turn it on/off as weather permits.

  16. I would like to see a filter added so guests can select en-suite. It is difficult to differentiate between those units which are plumbed in and provide a kitchen and bathroom within the unit as opposed to just sleeping accommodation.

  17. When users are giving scores about various camp-sites, they are asked to score in the relevant areas: Overall, Location, Value for money, Quality of Accommodation, Facilities/Activities, Customer Service, Child Friendliness, Cleanliness and WiFi.

    When campers are giving these scores, they should be asked to give the reasons behind their score. This would help site owners to constantly improve their facilities and services they offer. For example, if an individual has had a good stay on which ever site they have stayed on, they could leave good scores (i.e. 9 or 10) for all areas. This does not, however, allow the…

  18. Quality of Accommodation - What does this mean? If someone stays in a site owned static caravan, for example, is the person is rating the caravan itself? Or the whole site, which would surely fall under 'Overall'. if someone was staying in a tent, what would they then be rating?

    Maybe a little message shown to the user when they are reviewing to remind them what they are actually scoring for that particular section.

    Also, if a site does not advertise to offer a WiFi connection, then a rating should not be allowed to be given, a N/A rating would…

  20. With the huge growth in pre-erected units and huts etc it would make sense to be able to take these deposits at the time of booking and not upon arrival. People expect this to happen up front and it avoids awkward discussions upon arrival as well as unneccesary administration in a busy reception

    We would need to consider carefully the refund mechanism and also that Pitchup.com wouldn’t have visibility of the criteria. In the event of a dispute it would need to be clear that Pitchup.com wouldn’t be able to arbitrate. We’ll look into this.
