  1. Allow more dialogue between the manager and the reviewer once the review is given. The manager gets the last word whether truthful or not .

    Once a review is left....the site manager can respond however they choose, whether truthful or not which is misleading and allows no comeback from the reviewer. Some of the reviews made on a recent campsite where we stayed were totally accurate but the manager's response made it sound otherwise....

  2. Clarify distance statistic

    I booked a campsite based on the distance given to a venue I was attending an event at, where a site came at the top of the list being only 3.1 miles away. I've since looked on google maps and it's apparently 9 miles away, so I think pitchup must be calculating the distance based on a straight line rather the actual distance by car / on foot. This statistic was misleading and didn't clarify on the site, as a result I had to cancel and lost some of my deposit.

  4. Show also fully booked campsites on the map.

    Searching for a campsite in a certain regio for a given day, only the campites with available places are shown. If the fully booked ones would appear as well (in red on the map for instance), it would be possible to check out if those maybe have free places on another day. Just have a look at the maps of booking.com to see what I mean.

  6. Make sure search facility works as it should for all filters

    I searched Motorhome, adults only, bring a gazebo with beach access. There were 3 results, the first one allows children… not impressive

  7. Change the settings in special offers to accommodate up to 60 days in advance

    Problem: Domaine du Lambon https://pitchup.my.salesforce.com/0013z00002njZiG have an offer offering 15% off for customers that offer 60 days in advance. Currently the ahead of time offer only goes up to 28 days.

    Intention: This will allow more flexibility for sites trying to go live, increasing our pool of sites over time.

    Time: This would be beneficial all the time, but particularly in winter season when adding new sites

    Customer: This is relevant for site owners

    How big: I currently only have one site requiring thgis modification

  8. Cut your feedback form!

    Offer ‘feedback’ on a very short form, and ‘review’ where people can expand on their experience.
    I havent time to fill in five ‘feedback’ forms like that!

  13. Please install a "booking amendment" button on the customer portal

    an amendment button where customers can simply put in their original booking ID, select extras and then make an additional payment - you are losing out on extra commission by not doing this and the customer satisfaction rate will go even higher!

    Thank you for this suggestion. Adding extras is a fairly rare requirement on the whole but we are working on a solution to amend all aspects of the booking, which is unfortunately not a trivial change.

    Cross Key's site Sommerton states this site is Adults Only but camping bank holiday weekend and there are children here!

    Pitchup hosts various clean-ups of national parks or trails that could use the litter pick-up. BBQ for volunteers. At all times, Pitchup encourages care for nature, the beauty of the UK.
