  3. The more info on a page the more the punter get's confused- too much info can cause a 'l give up feeling'

  4. Many people want to have a holiday that doesn't cost the earth in carbon emissions, putting a search that enables that person to look for somewhere that is off grid, composting loos, close to nature etc will help that person.

  5. ive lost money booking with you...
    its not a lot, granted, and i'm not going to chase you for £1.50 but this rather an unfair practice to customers in my position.
    As a single person I booked a nights camping at Hendra in Newquay as it was the cheapest that was available on your site.
    The booking went through, my account was debited and the following day i received a phone call from Hendra telling me they are a family site and do not accept booking from individuals.
    I was refunded, but not the full amount. I assume that was…

  6. We are not camper vans we need to sit on grass - our tents are on wheels as per a trailer tent. We take up less space than a car and trailer. However we are being rejected from bookings and no refunds given - A contact the site (before booking ) option should be clearly available on each site page.

  8. If a Campsite isn't fit for use it needs to be acknowledged. Ashton Hall Campsite is appalling. The pitches have no stone and are full of moss and mud. The road is a danger to our vehicles. If you happen to come across the owner/manager beware as he is very aggressive in his nature. We arrived and left the same day due to how awful the man was to both myself and my husband. Within the description of the available facilities it would be very helpful if there was a general section attached to the website where there were definitions of what was included within each of the available facilities for example does “Toilet Block” include waste disposal from Motorhome cassette style toilets or is this defined in “Fully Serviced” or in “Portaloo” or only in “Chemical Disposal”. Where “Water” is shown as an available facility is this at each pitch or is this a communal facility where you can fill up a Motorhome?. What is included within “Charging facilities”? I do not see…

  10. Amending a booking is not great. I have contacted the site through the link on the booking confirmation. The site has told me I now must contact Pitchup to ensure the correct balance is taken when my balance is due, but there is no facility for me to do so. Everything on Pitch up directs me to contact the site. Your site on my booking list says the information will not be updated if I have contacted the site. Very confusing

  11. I would find it so helpful to be able to search availability across an extended period when I am flexible on dates (eg search for any seven nights between 1st and 31st august) At the moment I would love to book a last minute break over the school holidays (and would have booked a school holiday break earlier) and can go any time in august and am flexible on location. I can only search specific dates at the moment which makes searching difficult as I have to keep retrying with different dates.

  12. Have staff available to tell people to shut up after 1030 pm people ignored this some going on until 1 in morning. Yurts especially being very loud showing no consideration for others. Staff should warn these people.

  16. It's not clear whether campervans (e.g. a VW AutoSleeper) are classed as a motorhome or a tourer (which is what? A caravan?) or whether they are not allowed at all.

    Thanks for your feedback. We already show available dates in calendars within each pitch type on each listing page, and show sites with availability first in search results. Were you having difficulty on the search page or listing page?

  18. Is there any way we can encourage customers to tell us their estimated

    Please could you add a compulsory time of arrival (ETA) because when we receive the booking from you I still have to ring them up or send an email to ask them their ETA. I know you have it on your system but customers do not seem to be filling it in. Can you help at all?

  19. an amendment button where customers can simply put in their original booking ID, select extras and then make an additional payment - you are losing out on extra commission by not doing this and the customer satisfaction rate will go even higher!

    Thank you for this suggestion. Adding extras is a fairly rare requirement on the whole but we are working on a solution to amend all aspects of the booking, which is unfortunately not a trivial change.

  20. For years I have submitted amendment requests via the Pitchup portal; no-one ever did anything about them and I always had to contact a "Manager". Recently, the "Manager" suggested I contact them direct...guess what ?!

    I sent my request on 28/7...no reply
    I chased it on 7/8...no reply
    It's now 12/8 so what do I do ?!

    I understand that people might be on holiday but have you heard of the auto-reply/auto-responder ?????
