Fire Ban Flag. Site Safety
Some sites give us the option of setting a fire-ban status. With summers like this we need to show that open fires are not permitted on sites surrounded by crops and long grass. Need to be able to turn it on/off as weather permits.

Enable owners to charge their accidental damage deposit online as part of the booking process
With the huge growth in pre-erected units and huts etc it would make sense to be able to take these deposits at the time of booking and not upon arrival. People expect this to happen up front and it avoids awkward discussions upon arrival as well as unneccesary administration in a busy reception
2 votesWe would need to consider carefully the refund mechanism and also that Pitchup.com wouldn’t have visibility of the criteria. In the event of a dispute it would need to be clear that Pitchup.com wouldn’t be able to arbitrate. We’ll look into this.

Allow us to add accreditation logos
For example, for tourist board accreditation - especially as there is nowhere to add that we are now have our Verified Accommodation certification from the Welsh Tourist Board (there is no 0-5 scale, it's either verified or it isn't)

Show Loo of the Year Awards on listings
A very important consideration is cleanliness and facilities in the amenity block so this would be a useful award to show

for if you don't have a lot of space to put the banner. Or have a restricted amount of space.

Keep the calendar feed accurate
My calendar continues to show customers even though they have cancelled. This is confusing as I can think we are fully booked even though we actually have vacancies due to cancellations.

Maximum tent size
There is currently a field for pitch size which is used to determine the maximum size of tents. However, it would be better to separate pitch size and maximum unit size as the pitch may need to accommodate cars as well as units. IE, our pitches are 12x12 meters, but in odder to accommodate the customers cars, and ensure a 6 meter gap, the maximum tent size would be 8x8 meters.

Making it clearer on a non-facility site that customers must have their own chemical toilet to stay
On a site that has no toilet facilities, it needs to be made clearer to the customer that they must bring their own chemical toilet in order to stay. The current default description only states "This site has no on-site toilet and shower facilities.". Whilst an added descriptive can be added, this appears at the bottom of the Please Note section and is missed, leading to disappointed customers.

Remove customer review prompts.
Hi.
I have always preferred for our reviews to be organic, rather than promoted. I would much rather a customer be compelled by their own experience to leave a review, than be badgered by (who they will see as) me to leave a review.
The only exception to this would be Airbnb, as this also allows hosts to review guests, and positive reviews on both parts help guests and hosts find what is right for them.

Defibrillator on site. Show we care! How about a small symbol on site listings that have this lifesaving device on site. Many clients are retired. Having had a scare prompted us to invest in this equipment

Fire Ban Notice
Provide a clear indication on the booking page regarding the site fire safety status. We hire fire-pits in suitable conditions but again we have had to suspend them July. This seems to be more of a problem the last couple of years and were into it again this summer.

Add a maximum quantity of extras available on site
We only have grass pitches, of the 90 we have only 60 have an electrical hook-up, there should be a qty of extras available which we could set to 60, this would make our listing so much cleaner.

Please make it mandatory to provide a CAMC membership number for CAMC only sites
We often get bookings for our CAMC certified location where they have ticked that they are members but, when contacted to obtain their membership number, they confirm they aren't members and didn't know that we are only open to CAMC members despite it being mentioned many times on our page. Making inputting the membership number mandatory would stop these booking errors occuring.

Marketing Preferences
Currently, we are unable to contact customers who book through the platform for marketing purposes, as there is no option for guests to opt in to receive communications from the site they are booking with. This limits our ability to share important updates, future offers, and relevant information that could enhance their visit and encourage repeat bookings.
We would like to suggest the introduction of an opt-in feature at the point of booking, allowing customers to consent to receiving marketing communications directly from the venue. This would ensure compliance with data protection regulations while also benefiting both site operators and…

Please add an edit function for manually entered bookings
I would like to be able to edit externally booked reservations that were manually entered into Pitchup, without having to delete and recreate them first.

Terms and Conditions - Drones Options
Please could there be tick box options in the Terms and Conditions section with respect to flying of drones on site, e.g. permission required to fly drone, the flying of drones is not permitted etc. This has been triggered by a complaint regarding a breach of privacy.
