Ferry costs
Great site BTW. I booked 3 nights stay on a site on the Isle of Wight. This was £63.. After I booked .. I went to the ferry booking site.. £124 for the return sailing. I didn't think that a ferry trip across a couple of miles of water could be so expensive. I must admit that if I had done the ferry site first I wouldn't have booked a campsite on I.O.W.
Can I suggest that you put a advisory pop up Or at least an advisory note to check ferry prices and availability before booking a camp site…1 vote -
Combine multiple stays into one touring trip !
Hi, myself & my boyfriend will be touring Cornwall in a Campervan for a week and found it frustrating that we had to book each campsite separately! A 'touring' option where you can pay one deposit and plan your route would be very helpful!
Also an App would be even better ;)
Thanks,

expand to australia, love it!, but ....
the search design is great, shame its not in australia (ie worldwide).
The key best experience is that you can select a location by 'radius'.
This saves the user lots of time locating places with in a specific area.
But once you have selected the radius and a result is offered (0 for australa) the radius is gone. I would like to go directly into my next search (this would save me time from that window).
Wish you well!

We do have search by radius but only for “point” searches…try Glastonbury or Croyde and you’ll be able to change the radius. If you do a new point-based search it’ll come back.

Please could you let us know which campsite? Campsites enter their own allocation on Pitchup.com so if you’ve booked then it should be open.

Make it clear to people at the end of season that the facilities are not available
If I had known that there was no swimming pool, shop, bar, restaurant or wifi when I was booking, I would have opted for renting an apartment as a wet field with no facilities in a camper van is not a holiday. It is more of an endurance test. I needed wifi to keep in touch with work and was very inconvenienced by not even having that. Added to that, the tv did not work without wifi so we had to watch DVDs. I am extremely disappointed and feel cheated that I paid almost £100 for a wet field and…

have a search for tent sites only
every time I search for a tent site I keep coming up with caravan sites why can#'t people with tent needs find just tent sites.....don't care what other stuff is there when I get there, just need to know I can pitch a tent
Also sick and tired of keying in Ulverston and getting sites up near keswick and coniston23 votesAll sites in a tent search will accept tents. They may also accept caravans. You’d like a search for sites that only accept the tent category, and not motorhomes, glamping or tourers. Correct?
Re Ulverston sites, this is determined by what’s in the address – sometimes a site in an outlying village may have Ulverston as its postal town.

VIEWING FIGURES GO DOWN DRAMATICALLY IN SEPTMEBER SO START ADVERTISING THE LOG PODS, SHEPHERDS HUTS, ETC MORE AS PEOPLE MAY NOT WANT TO CAMP
LATER IN THE YEAR. a MORE COMFORTABLE WAY OF GETTING A CHEAP BREAK SHOULD STILL BE ON PEOPLES MINDS ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE NO CHILDREN WITH THEM.

put in a tick box for eco / green holidays
Many people want to have a holiday that doesn't cost the earth in carbon emissions, putting a search that enables that person to look for somewhere that is off grid, composting loos, close to nature etc will help that person.

'motorcycle friendly'
add to search for motorcycle friendly sites. This should also include approach onto site as gravel is not the motorcyclists best friend. Also on sites I need to know that I can park my vehicle next to my tent and whether I am allocated a pitch or I can choose where to pitch in the given field.

Add more areas in Wales
At the moment, the only options are South Wales, North Wales and West Wales. What about Mid Wales? Or East Wales? Or Powys?

Check your gps coordinates
For the follwing site at least, the gps coordinates are wrong. I believe they should be 51.99082°N, 1.37282°W, not the figure you give below. I believe i have also noticed this with another site in the past.
Cheyney Manor House
Cheyney Manor, Barford, St Michael, Oxfordshire, England, OX15 0RJ

I thought you had a search key for sites that let over 16s camp by themselves?
Could you put that on? Its a nightmare finding a place where nice post GCSE 16 year olds can go without their parents.

implement site safety grading
Show level of site safety facilities.
Criteria to include eg nearest or miles to nearest chemist / doctor / hospital / rescue centre / point of contact. Fire safety / proper 1st aid facillities (not just an "off the shelf 1st ade kit) / nominated trained 1st aiders / life saving equipment particularly where there's water and the condition of all the above equipment and facillites.1 vote -

Have a 'rate the showers' facility for us Glampers!
I (and many of my camping friends) would like to know the follwing about the shower facilities for each of the campsites: do they have doors rather than curtains, is there a hairdryer, is there anywhere to plug in straighteners (don't laugh!), are there curtained off sinks o brush your teeth? I search in vain on review sites trying to find the anwers to these questions! Is there a faclity which can ask people these questions when reviewing? A kind of glampers guide :-)

allow searching by travel distance, e.g. 1 hour from London
If you're looking somewhere to go for the weekend it would be nice to say I would like to travel no more than 2 hours from home, and get a list of possible destinations.
You already search by location, but let us choose the radius from that location and you get a nice useful feature!
28 votesThanks for the idea – we’ve added the ability to alter the search radius from 30m when you search using a postcode. We’ll be adding a similar feature for other ‘point’ searches…the driving distance may take a little longer but we’re looking into it!
