offer a compensation or the holiday stay again
To whom it may concern,
We was recommended your campsite from family and friends. We was staying with you from the 21st to the 25th of August 2023.
On arrival , we was notified that the power and electricity was out but would be back on shortly. However , the power continued to be unstable from the 21st to the 22nd, from when a new generator got delivered . Over the course of the two days , we was unable keep our fridge cooled as well as cook on site. In which a lot of food was spoilt due to preserving issues resulting , in us having to eat out multiple times.
Once the generator was replaced , we went shopping again to restock our fridged , to later find out power was lost again. Which we was informed this happened because the generator ran out of diesel. As well as , our recently new caravans alarm system kept going off to notify the power loss in which some cases we lost sleep as it was the middle of the night and it was disturbing as we couldn’t over-ride it. So we had no choice but to completely isolate the caravan and disconnect the battery and furthermore was not notified when the power was reinstated.
Furthermore , the men’s facilities were not up to my standards with the men’s toilets in particular not having locks and holes in the wall where our teenage daughter felt uncomfortable undressing.
As well as , receiving complaints from the people on the pitch beside us as where the parking assistant placed the caravan. In which the waste tank and water butts sat on their boundary of the pitch.
And noise issues from the people behind us mainly caused by their multiple dogs constant barking. Which caused us to buy a windbreaker so we wouldn’t trigger the dogs.
I am disappointed by the service we received whilst camping at your site. We was caused a lot of inconvenience and extra expenses as most of our food was inedible due to the power cuts.
However , the campsite was lovely and would’ve been a fantastic stay if not for issues previously listed.
